Are you an older teen or young adult and want to join or continue to be active in GFS? Become a GFS Ambassador!
GFS Ambassador membership is for young women between the ages of 18-30. As transitioning high school students, college students and working professionals, we know you’re busy! It’s easy to be an active Ambassador. You have the choice of which activities you participate in, and nothing is mandatory, allowing you to connect with us on your own time.
All of our activities align with the 4 pillars or GFS: study, service, worship and play.
You may be interested in reconnecting or meeting new friends through our monthly virtual social hours or weekend trips. You may also be interested in a safe space to talk about your spiritual growth or current events. Our monthly book club meetings have created meaningful conversations and understanding while incorporating our worship and study pillars. Books read include: It’s Not Supposed To Be This Way by Lysa Terkeurst and So You Want To Talk About Race by Ijeoma Oluo. Interested Ambassadors may also participate in our service projects which have included donating your voice to VocalID’s Human Voicebank, the Sticky Note Challenge, and participating in Yewande Austin’s Art of Change program.
We know that women our age have a lot of changes, challenges, and transitions, it can be stressful! We have created two support initiatives. Our Wellness Program encourages Ambassadors to support one another by informing us when someone needs to be supported or celebrated through an online form. Our Resource Exchange Program provides the opportunity for Ambassadors to be linked to other GFS members with their same profession, common interests, and hobbies.
As active GFS members, you will be able to attend National and World Council events and have the opportunity to participate in GFS’ World Exchange program. The next World Council will be in South Africa in 2023!
