Girls With Badges

GFS Week is celebrated from the last Sunday of January through the first Sunday in February. Promote GFS during this week by holding special branch and diocesan events. GFS/USA requires that all branches celebrate GFS Week. Some ways to participate are:

  • Participate in the Souper Bowl of Caring by collecting donations of funds and food for a local non-profit organizations.
  • Request that GFS girls be included as readers, acolytes and LEM’s during Sunday worship.
  • Plan a special diocesan service event for GFS girls to gather and work together.

National Assembly

National Assembly

GFS USA meets every three years in a National Assembly to renew friendships, share experiences, and complete business of the national board.

Each member diocese has one vote.  Many diocesan organizations send a Junior Delegate and a Senior Delegate and one or more observers. The National Assembly delegates consider and act on budget and program proposals that the Board then carries out on their behalf.

The 2016 GFS-USA National Assembly will be hosted by the Diocese of Connecticut. Registration forms will be posted to this site when the forms become available. Applications for assistance with travel costs are available to members.
